Gardening for Golfers featured in Santa Barbara News Press "805 Bound" Book Section
The Santa Barbara News Press featured Gardening for Golfers in their "805 Bound" book section. They describe the book as follows, ""Trim your shrubs with your clubs" promises this chortlesome and meandering tome about golfing, gardening, a little of both and sometimes neither." How cool is that? Chortle is defined as "gleeful chuckles", which could not be more apt to describe Gardening for Golfers. Bravo!

Gardening for Golfers Author in Brad Pitt "Nose Job" Controversy.
Santa Barbara is a small town. Gardening for Golfers author Peter Blair is embroiled in a local controversy with Santa Barbara homeowner Brad Pitt over nose shape. Some locals believe that Peter's recent Septoplasty to fix a deviated septum was really just a veiled excuse to change the shape of his nose to be more like Brad Pitt's. It is fairly common for people, especially sorority girls, to get nose jobs under the guise of a deviated septum. Neither Mr. Blair or Mr. Pitt would comment on this controversy, although Mr. Blair indicated that he already had larger lips like Angelina Jolie's. We'll keep you posted if we smell anything fishy on this gossip.

Author attends Target World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club - Tiger sees the book!.
The author and family attended the final day of the Target World Challenge tournament and spent some time by the first green sitting next to Tiger's mom. As Tiger walked from the 3rd green to the 4th tee, he saw a copy of the GFG book being held out by Peter's daughter Christina. Tiger smiled and nodded "hi" , very uncharacteristic of him when competing. By his reaction, we think he liked the book. We were treated to a viewing of Baby Sam and Tiger's wife Elin, who greeted him at the 18th hole to congratulate him on his victory.

Santa Barbara Independent Magazine Features article on "Gardening for Golfers".
Check out the link below to the online story about Peter's book. We only had to buy 4 years of full page ads to get the coverage, but it is worth it. Props to Matt Kettmann for writing up the story. You can even get the story in iPod format, but we're not sure what that sounds like.

Peter will be talking about his book on Matt McAllister's Early Show on FM 99.9 KTYD in Santa Barbara. Peter and Matt played golf together a few years ago, and Matt liked Peter's style. By the way, if you did not already know it, Matt McAllister held the Guiness Book of Records for the most number of tee shirts worn at one time. He broke one record on the David Letterman Show.
